The Second Sip

That first delicious moment – the initial quenching of thirst after a period of seemingly endless dryness – is the most delicious sip.

The second sip is never quite like the first.

So why drink more?

Because the one hundred and second sip is when we really begin to deeply savour the taste.

The one thousand and second sip is when we realise this liquid has become an essential part of our biological make up.

Same with what we create.

The first sip – first word, first stroke, first click, first note, first step – is just the beginning.
