Embracing The Unstillness

In yoga and meditation, calm comes not from forcing body and mind to become completely still. That would be impossible.

The calm – and benefit – comes from embracing the unstillness, and continuing to show up and practice anyway.

Focus on the tiny irritations, twitches and itches, and they’ll grow.

But focus on the vast calm that you’re able to attain despite the tiny irritations, and it will expand and fill your consciousness entirely.

In your creativity, the same. Embrace the unstillness.

Accept the inevitable trips, tumbles, messes and mistakes, and keep showing up to practice anyway.
