Choosing to embark on long term creative projects like tenthousandhaiku means that the end point is so far off, I barely even think about.
Which frees me to focus on each haiku – and each moment – with my fullest attention, energy and creativity, as if it were the entire project, right there and then, and nothing else mattered.
If we’re always thinking about finishing, with our mind in the next project, and the next after that, we’re not present in the current one.
