Leaving Without Arriving

The most memorable lesson I learned from my first yoga teacher was to lay quietly and let myself “arrive” on the mat, before beginning any postures.

By leaving everything else at the door and bringing my focus to the moment first, I could enjoy and absorb the lesson at a far deeper level.

How often do you do this when you come to create?

Are you letting yourself arrive at, and immerse yourself in, your work without a dozen distractions?

Or are you leaving your creative sessions before you’ve even arrived?
