Sometimes with photography, I find that I get just one great photograph on a 36 exposure roll.
It doesn’t matter that the other 35 shots aren’t worth keeping – that single shot is worth the roll.
But I had to go out and shoot the whole roll in the first place, to get that one keeper.
What’s your expectation ratio?
Is it realistic is for any of us to expect any more than one in five, 10, 36 or even 136 attempts at making something beautiful actually turn out to be something beautiful?
